In the last 12 months we have seen opportunities arise in the market to write and place profitable business including hard to place risks within defined classes. This has arisen through the reluctance of various underwriters to specifically target these areas outside their standard corporate products due to company philosophies and treaty restrictions.
In consideration of the very soft market locally at present we feel Forbes will have laid a very sound foundation with our supporting underwriters at Lloyds London and multinational re-insurers to stabilize our market when premium increases are enforced by our local providers in the near future.
This will created an opportunity with moderate increases in premiums in all classes of business in our industry and underwrite our business in a more profitable and professional manner to generate higher profit margins for both underwriters and third party intermediaries e.g. Insurance Brokers and Underwriting Agencies.
